The Ailsa Craig Gala Days Committee would like to thank their sponsors, patrons and volunteers for helping to make their 35th annual community festival a success. Laurie and Brian would like to thank their fellow Gala Days Committee members and community service groups for their planning, facilitating and dedication to the events that make this weekend possible.

There's Something For Everyone

For good old fashioned fun where there is something for everyone, plan to attend Ailsa Craig Gala Days, a three-day family oriented festival always held on the third weekend in July at the Ailsa Craig Community Park. The fun starts Friday evening and ends on Sunday evening with free admission to the park all weekend long. There are dozens of free events, and the rest have a nominal entry fee.

Included in the many events are the Friday night Family Dance, Main Street Parade, Baby Show, Show n Shine, Spelling Bee, Pet Show, Bicycle Rodeo, Horseshoe competition, Outside Video Dance, 5km Run, Breakfast in the Park, Church, 4 on 4 Road Hockey, Clowns, Face Painters, Children's Entertainers, Midway, Beef BBQ, Easy Listening Live Band Music, and many events for the young and the young at heart. The highlight of the weekend is our famous Turtle Races! Held on Saturday afternoon - everyone is encouraged to catch and register a turtle for this entertaining activity.

Meetings

Our meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month until July. Everyone is welcome to come! The next meeting is March 4th, 2010 at 7pm at the Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre. Hope to see you there!.
